In the wooded park of the Sanctuary of Banneux, a beautiful Way of the Cross invites to meditation. The 14 traditional Stations are enclosed by 2 additional Stations:
- an evocation of the Last Supper is found at the entrance of the pathway,
- the Resurrection of the Lord on Easter morning invites you to look away from the tomb.
The Virgin of the Poor promised, “I come to relieve suffering”.
Also, the most credible promise is that Mary was there when Jesus climbed on to the Calvary and gave his life on the cross. She is there when he is suffering, and when he dies. She receives him in his arms when he comes down from the gallows.
